Pointman Armor by AlexJJessup Pointman Armor by AlexJJessup
I always liked the juggernaut from CoD, but I fealt it was a little to "easy" of a solution, as it was basically just an EOD suit bulked up with some plates. I wanted to do something like that here, but designed to match the look of my nvg sets and to feel lighter and more real in a sense. The idea is that one guy in a squad wears this, and is the guy to kick in a door and enter the room first.

Hope you like it!

Very cool, but one thing drastically needs changing - the magazine storage should be on his left hand side.

Usually true, but where you put your gear is unique to every person. I put it there just to show it better. :P

its very impractical. you would have extremely limited mobility, you would be highly encumbered, you would have a heatstroke trying to walk down the street much less run to an objective or rush an enemy. there is no way you could afford this in the bulk needed to supply entire marine corps. also marine corps doesnt have m320 we have a m203 and a m32
side note: point man isnt always the one who kicks in the door. once you start clearing buildings, especially if your in a situation like fallujah, its who the hell ever is there first. and finally the guy who kicks in the door should not be the first one to enter a building/room unless he is under fire and entering that building is his only way of obtaining cover.

the drawing as a whole however is very skilled and obviously you put a good amount of thought into it unfortunately like most concepts, however, it did come out impractical. my bit of advise if you are trying to create more practical and realistic concepts is to actually go through and study the marine corps publications on combat and how to conduct it such as the 3-11 which is the "infantryman bible", and watch videos of our recent combat operations from Afghanistan and Iraq both of which have a lot of footage taken by marines using cameras attached to their kevlars
