Just establishing the general look for the opposing forces in this setting I've been creating recently. He has bad trigger discipline intentionally.
Weather-control attacks against Paris, London, and New-York City? Mercenaries ... traitor scum.
looks a lot like instructor zero.
Private military huh? At first that reminded me of Merryweather Security from Grand Theft Auto V
Looks like a boss, great work
Just an fyi any active/ex military man would wear gloves with short sleeves or rolled up sleeves. But anyways look great man!!
nice haha is that a tarmuku on his arm ?
I'm not sure what that is!
I would love more background on this setting you've been working on. It seems fascinating. Willing to sign a NDA
Nice design I really like the details in the character, would be awesome if they used this in future FPS
Would love to see an AUTO rifleman, or an AT soldier
Would love to work on this mini project more, but I'm super busy with my job so it'll be a while.
Do you start in black and white first or colour?
Color, but I always have a black filled layer set to color on top that I can toggle on/off to check values. I find that I basically repaint it if I try to add color to the b&w. Also, I grab colors, textures, details etc from photos a lot while I work so it just makes sense to go through the whole process open to adding/changing colors all along the way.
YOUR CONCEPTS ARE AWESOME DO YOU DRAW THEM ARE USE A COMPUTER PROGRAM?
I use a Wacom tablet to draw and paint directly in Photoshop CS6. I use the brush/eraser tool 90% of the time.
I love the detail on this, I just don't understand how people paint this stuff. Also, it looks like O won....
Thanks man! I use photos quite a bit, but the main 'secret' to getting paint to look real and photos to look painted is to paint the light and shadows on everything so the darks and lights match.
You need to work for Dice this it too sweet
God that would be nice, I'll be applying for jobs soon.
Any chance we can get a better look at his weapon? That'd be a nice addition to your already great collection.
Brilliant work dude. Keep it up.
Really like the personality here, the customization and small details are so good at telling a story, you really should do some more of these!! Loving them so far.
Also has bad muzzle discipline, but if both safeties are dependable, who cares?
Nice job, very "jocky", but at the same time, no-nonsense. Why a short-sleeve BDU? That kinda defeats the purpose of being flame resistant…
Thanks man! Material is flame resistant, but that doesn't mean it's made for running in fires, or that he does that. He's in areas that are hot, so he opts for short sleeves. If he gets caught on fire he'd probably wish he had a full suit, not just longer sleeves.
Cute. They play tictactoe on him when he's asleep.
Pretty impressed with the IBA design work there, Alex. Great job. Again. Haha
